The Job
What we built
The brief was a stair that felt light but carried real load. We built a folded steel stringer fixed back to a hidden wall plate, then hung solid oak treads off welded brackets so the steel almost disappears.
Every weld was ground flush and the frame was powder coated satin black before the treads went on. The handrail is a single continuous run of 40mm flat bar, bent on site to follow the rise.
