Solo Welders
About Us

One workshop, no shortcuts

Solo Welders is a hands-on metal shop. We are not a call centre with a workshop somewhere out back. The people who quote your job are the same people who cut and weld it.

Our Story

Started on a single machine

We began with one welder, one second-hand machine and a short list of neighbours who needed gates and grilles. Word travelled because the work held up. Fourteen years on we still run lean, we still answer the phone ourselves, and we still treat a small repair with the same care as a structural contract.

Today the shop handles structural steel for builders, architectural features for designers and one-off pieces for homeowners. The scale changed. The standard did not.

What We Stand By

The rules we work to

A few simple commitments that have not changed since the first job.

Measure twice

We work to your dimensions and check them before a single cut. Guesswork costs steel.

Weld it right

Sound, clean joints that pass inspection. We do not hide a poor weld under paint.

Keep our word

The price we quote is the price you pay, and the date we give is the date we hit.

The Hands

Who you will be dealing with

No layers, no account managers. Just the two people who run the shop.

Samuel O Lead Welder and Fabricator

Runs the floor and the structural work. Happiest with a TIG torch and a tight tolerance.

Brian K Fabricator and Finishing

Handles cutting, finishing and install. The reason every piece leaves the shop clean.
